Navreet Dhillon
Navreet is a recent grad from the University of Calgary with a B.Sc. Honours degree in Psychology. In the future, she hopes to go to medical school and work in the field of Psychiatry. She loves to learn all about the connections between psychology and physiology.
In her spare time, she volunteers with youth mental health initiatives across Calgary and loves to spend time with all her cousins and family.
DANiel KING
Daniel is a fourth-year undergraduate student who is taking his B.Sc. in Natural Sciences and is working toward transferring programs to complete a degree with honours in psychology. He is interested in pursuing a master’s in clinical psychology to further his interest in cognitive behavioural therapy.
In his free time, Daniel volunteers for the Calgary Distress Centre, plays volleyball, rock climbs and takes his dog, Wilson, for walks at Nose Hill Park.
Ridhampreet Madaan
Ridhampreet is a fifth-year student at the University of Calgary, pursuing a double degree in B.Sc. Psychology and a B.Cr. in Community Rehabilitation.Living to learn is an integral part of who she is as a person. One thing Ridhampreet loves learning about is the subfield of neuropsychology. Particularly, she loves learning about how the brain works to create complex, observable behaviours. Due to this, she is incredibly excited to be a part of this lab and contribute, even in a small way, to the research process!
Outside of school, you can catch her tending to my plants or watching anime! She also loves reading, learning about nutrition, and playing with her dog, Olive
Purnava Chakma
Purnava is a second-year student majoring in Psychology. She is passionate about research in Psychology as it enables us to understand and learn about mind and behaviour. Research allows you to understand your strengths and weaknesses and provides the opportunity to turn the weaknesses into strengths through keen observation, experience and learning
Emily SalLis
Emily is in the third year of her undergraduate degree in psychology, and has an interest in developmental and clinical psychology. She plans on perusing a career in psychiatric nursing following the completion of her undergraduate degree.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking, crocheting, and hanging out with her cat.
Sophia LaPointe
Sophia is a third year at the University of Calgary completing her BA Honours degree in Psychology with a Minor in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies. She hopes to pursue a degree in Clinical Psychology where she can use her enthusiasm and passion for learning to make a difference in people’s lives through clinical practice and research.
Outside of classes, Sophia can be found beneath mountains of books, playing with her dog, hiking outdoors (and hoping to find mushrooms), volunteering with Canadian Blood Services, and working as a law clerk!
Nicola Stuebing
Nicola is a third-year psychology student at the University of Calgary. She is interested in parental substance abuse and its impact on child developmental outcomes. She hopes to pursue a master's in clinical psychology to dive deeper into this realm of developmental risk factors. Nicola is excited to experience and witness the various components of the research process with the Kopala-Sibley team.
Outside of lecture halls, Nicola enjoys hanging out with friends, dogs, and playing various sports.
Summer Wearmouth
Summer is a fourth-year undergraduate psychology student at the University of Calgary. Next year she plans to complete an honours thesis and apply for graduate school. She has a passion for learning, research, cooking, and pictures of friend’s cats.
In her spare time, Summer can be found playing squash, cuddling her dogs, and heading to the mountains to camp or hike with her husband.
